Beginners**** Mayrhofen offers beginners a perfect all-round holiday. Beginners experience the enjoyment of learning to ski set in stunning scenery and in a fun resort. The ski school based at the Penken has plenty of English-speaking instructors and designated beginner ski areas.

Intermediates*****
The choice of red and blue runs suitable for the intermediate are limitless within the scope of the average holiday. You can make the most of our Ski Safari service and experience all the Ziller valley has to offer. The best way to improve is by ‘putting miles under your skis’ and this is certainly the area in which to do it!

Advanced**** A glance at any ski brochure will tell you that Mayrhofen is better suited for beginners and intermediates. However, the vast scale of the Hintertux Glacier and Ziller valley means that advanced skiers will find plenty to do and enjoy. Every ski area has challenging slopes for the advanced and expert, which is not always obvious from the piste maps. Mayrhofen boasts the steepest prepared black piste in Austria with a 78% gradient and not to be missed are the Mayrhofen and Ahorn black home runs, Gerlos and the ‘Black 13’ Hintertux!

Snowboarding***** Mayrhofen welcomes snowboarders and has a designated area with double jump and half pipe. Kaltenbach is great fun with natural bowls and there are designated snowboard parks at Zell am Ziller, Gerlos and Hintertux. The snowboard schools offer excellent tuition and are highly recommended for rapid progression.
